How can I avoid from being bitten by a dog?
Dogs bite for many reasons including genetics, training, medical reasons, fear or aggression. The best strategy is to avoid confrontation. Follow these basic tips for dog bite prevention:
- Avoid direct eye contact.
- Stay still.
- Move very slowly.
- Find an object and put it between you and the dog.
- Avoid stray dogs.
- Never approach a strange dog.
- Dogs should meet you first.
- Learn to read doggie body language.
- Avoid bending over a dog, approaching straight on or from the side.
- Never fight, argue with, or confront an aggressive dog.

What do I need to provide before my dog's first training session?
Dogs must have current rabies shots, proof of shots and tags must be provided at the first session. Any other requirements will be discussed before the first class.
